Hello. This is Nada from Seito Medical School. There are many mysterious phenomena in the world. For example, if you are infected with a virus, you will develop a fever. It may seem like a disadvantage that it increases your fever and makes you feel sick, but it actually has a self-purifying effect by getting rid of viruses. There are many similar events in the medical world. For example, self-harm. It's a disease that causes you to harm yourself. The reason why people self-harm is because they want to restore something that was originally in their body, and they can't stop doing it. That something lost may be spiritual, or it may be related to the mechanics of the body. I also have a habit of biting my nails, but it can also be analyzed that I do this because I want to restore something. I don't know if what was lost has something to do with the claws or the act of biting. The only thing I can say is that if we can regain something that was lost, there is a high possibility that self-harm will stop.
I was also able to temporarily cure my nail biting habit. If I always wear a mask, my nails don't come into contact with my mouth, so I can no longer physically bite my nails. However, after that, when I relaxed and stopped wearing the mask, I started biting my nails again. What I lost probably hasn't been restored, so I guess my nail-biting habit never really got better. There are probably a certain number of people in this world who commit suicide or self-harm. It is not known whether the cause is psychological or physical. However, if we think of hurting something as a self-cleansing action of trying to restore something, we may be able to see the causes of many self-harm acts. See you soon.
