<Life in the System>

The first theme is life within a system. In a previous report, I considered what life is from both a material and a spiritual perspective. In terms of material aspects, one definition (meaning) of life is a filtering device that balances gravity and homeostasis. In terms of spiritual or philosophical aspects, having life means that an object has the degree of freedom to exist when experiencing something in the past. In other words, one definition of life is moving freely within a structure called a system, which is the relationship between things. This is because it has its own will and moves around in space.

For example, I wonder what moves freely in the internal environment of the body beyond physical activity. One of them is white blood cells. I believe white blood cells fight pathogens. I don't know much about medicine, so I would like to study it so that I can grasp the facts clearly. Returning to the point, white blood cells that move freely in the bloodstream system can be said to have life, according to the definition above. Body cells can also be said to have life if they continue to move even when separated from other cells.

In other words, if we define life philosophically, one system is made up of countless elements and countless systems. For example, in a system called the body, if you remove something that connects it to the outside, the smallest living organism that can continue to function for a certain period of time is the one that has life. When it comes to life, not only physical definitions are important, but also philosophical definitions.

If you are diligent and work hard, even if you fail, you will bounce back and achieve success. Studying never takes away new realizations, and learning is something that is built up over many years. However, one thing is certain: study is the foundation, and it is the ability to act that builds a vacation home on top of it. The balance between these two points is important. Below are some things that caught my attention in this book.

Whether you succeed or not depends on what your goal is and how you invest your limited time and money. It is exactly the fusion of knowledge and technology, which is called a mental attitude. It's called selection and concentration, but depending on the circumstances, what you think is a disadvantage in life in society can be said to be a great advantage. Even if you don't have money, if you have time, you may be able to cover most academic subjects and technologies in your lifetime.

As for health, a leader who cannot maintain good health will have a negative impact on the company's performance, so it is the leader's job to look after the leader's health. One thing I can say is that, for example, even if the leader is not doing anything, it is important to create a situation where maintaining the status quo is important. Furthermore, if the leader takes action, performance needs to change from maintaining the status quo to a growth curve. As a leader, I would like to at least devise ways to give the company I am in charge of an advantage. On top of that, the health of the leader is a major prerequisite.

I've always been the type of person who would start things off with a lot of energy, but as I get closer to the end, I gradually start to feel like giving up. It's already been four and a half years since I started this blog on July 31, 2019.

I completed my first 100 articles in three months, and my writing and blogging skills improved tremendously, but spending eight hours a day researching and writing articles left me feeling groggy, so I left it for a long time.

Recently, I have started posting on the Seitojijuku blog again, but it is true that the one who stands until the end wins. I have also started posting again after a long time, so I can't really boast, but it is true that I am here now, writing this article.

As with anything, if you feel like quitting halfway through, you can stop. If you feel like quitting, you can stop temporarily. Also, if you feel like resuming, you can resume.

When you hear someone's idea, you might think it's the application of a specific piece of knowledge. Someone's knowledge and ideas are not separated like a deep valley, but are new ideas that develop from knowledge. Someone's idea may seem like the application of a specific piece of knowledge, but in reality it is the synergy of many pieces of knowledge that produces the idea.

On top of that, if you can get rid of the problem of preconceptions, the more knowledge you have, the more ideas you will have. It's important to note that the more knowledge you have, the more preconceptions you will have. If you can avoid that, you'll be a knowledgeable idea king.

The next topic is: I recently heard Taro Aso's response to a question on YouTube. Nakamura Tenpu's "Opening up your destiny"

The next subject is Nakamura Tenpu. I have recently started using the pen name Tenpu on Seitoh Shijuku, a sister site of Seitoh Medical School. I am currently reading Tenpu's "Opening Your Destiny" and have read up to the first chapter. What caught my attention was the line, "People speak within the scope of their own experiences and knowledge." When I write my blog, I often write about things I have learned from books and things I have actually experienced. As it is said that humans love stories, original stories that are unique to each individual are valuable. It seems that such original stories are also highly rated in recent Google searches.

Existentialism. I'll study it next time.

The next theme is philosophy. Existentialism. I've heard of it before, but I can't imagine it in detail. According to Nakamura Tenpu, philosophy is "a study that explores the causes of phenomena." It can be said that philosophy is about asking why the physical phenomena that occur in the world every day are the way they are, what the reasons are, and what the meanings are. Tenpu says, "What are God and Buddha?" Of course, I don't have a clear answer, and if I were asked this question, I would probably just give myself another half century. That was a story about philosophy. If I have time again, I would like to read a philosophy book and try to understand existentialism and find my own answer.

The company provides salary and experience

The next topic is about independence or freelancing. I think many company employees want to leave the company and change jobs or start their own business. They feel that there is too little reward for the work they do. I too have wanted to become independent and work as a freelancer since I entered my 30s. This perspective is from the perspective of the employee, and I feel horrified at the thought of not being paid more.

On the other hand, from the employer's point of view, the employee's argument may seem a little selfish. Many employers probably think that they are not just giving their employees a salary, but also allowing them to gain experience in the form of work. It would be hard to accept that the talent they have nurtured since the beginning of their careers would quit because they are dissatisfied with their salary. Managers will probably think that in exchange for the low salary of young employees, they are providing them with experience.

However, it seems that the recent generation Z, people in their 20s, are quitting because the workplace is too lax and they can't gain experience. Even if the employer is in the position to provide salary and experience, and pays a high salary, they quit because they can't gain experience. It's a difficult problem. I also have a strong desire to be independent, so I think I can understand the feelings of people who want to be independent.

However, it is also important to feel grateful to your current company for helping you grow as an employee until you were able to become independent. Don't get upset because you can't get what you want, but it's not too late to wait a little longer and then decide whether or not you really want to become independent. You can always make up for lost time in your twenties, so it's definitely better to keep trying new things.

If you feel your salary is low, think about why it is low, and if you feel that the salary is too lenient to gain experience, think about what you can do to change your surroundings before going independent. What I have said so far is also a warning to myself. To borrow the words of Tenpu Nakamura, "The thoughts that are made by the human heart create everything in life." <Considering what life is>

Having life means that when you have a real experience of the past, the object has the freedom (will) to do so. Real experience of the past means that when you look at your past memories, if there is something in those memories that moves freely without being bound by the memories, then it can be considered to have life. This is a definition of life from a philosophical perspective, but how does it differ from the previous explanation of life defined materially? It is possible that this philosophical definition of life means something symbolic.

Life, as we have defined it physically before, is a giant filtering system that filters energy through the body and expels what we don't need, or shapes the mechanisms of our heartbeat and breathing through on and off motions driven by gravity and homeostasis.

I don't know if there is any relation between this philosophical definition and the material definition of life. It may be related in the future of medical science, or it may not be related to eternity. What is life? It is a universal question for all living things.

I am currently reading a book about the founder of Aeon. It is very interesting, so I am not even halfway through, but I would recommend it to everyone. I gained the perspective that management is based on trust and consideration. Trust and consideration are very important elements for human relationships in society.

Chizuko, the founder of AEON, was a woman and was very sensitive, so she practiced "tea ceremony" and "flower arrangement" after work on Sundays for employees who had shifts on Sundays and could not take a day off. Therefore, it seems that she was evaluated at the time as the perfect wife for AEON.

If I were a manager, I think it's important not just to hold cooking classes and study groups, but also to essentially do things that are good for employees. At the very least, I think it's good to continue to push forward with what I think is good.

Learn high school chemistry before studying quantum chemistry! Those who can adapt will survive! ?

Hello. This is Nada from Seito Medical School. Today, I will be reporting on my diary for two days, 11/29 (Wed) and 11/30 (Thu).

First, here is a piece of information that I found confusing while studying quantum chemistry. It says that 1 cal is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of 1 g of water by 1 degree. I haven't studied chemistry much, so I thought that the amount of heat in a chemical formula was just an arbitrary value, meaning that the quantity itself didn't have much meaning, but I found that 1 cal does have meaning. If I take in 1 kcal of energy, will my motivation increase by 1000 times?

Continuing with quantum chemistry. Genetic information is written in a code of adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), and cytosine (C). The field of quantum chemistry introduces chemical formulas into this genetic information. I will also read through my high school textbooks on chemistry and approach the goal.

The next topic. Merchandise sales are interesting. If you go to a second-hand shop or BOOKOFF, you might find a bargain. The store doesn't bother to check how much each item is selling for online, so they can make a profit by selling it cheaply and selling it at a higher price. When I found out that a book I bought for 600 yen was selling for 2,000 yen, I felt a thrill, like I was hiding a precious jewel in my pocket.

Are you a morning person or a night owl? My memory advocates the theory of 12 hours a day with no holidays - Seito Medical School -

Hello. This is Tenpu from Seito Juku. The theme this time is, are you a morning person or a night person? Until a few years ago, I was a morning person. I would wake up at 2am and study until work started. To wake up at 2am, I needed to go to bed early at night, and since I was working part-time at the time, I would be out for 8 hours before taking the train back to work.

I've become a night owl lately, but I study, blog, and pursue my hobbies from 8pm to 5am. In that sense, I might be a day owl. I have an income separate from my job, so if I work moderately, I have no problem living on my own.

While looking at this theme of morning people or night people, I suddenly thought that I would wake up at 2 am again and work hard on my research and blogging. I feel like waking up in the morning is refreshing. Even if I stay up all night working on something, I feel a sense of accomplishment when the morning glow turns orange. It's currently 6:30 am. The sun is about to rise.

I'm thinking that it would be a good idea to alternate between night and day shifts, such as staying up all night on the first day (taking a 1-2 hour nap), sleeping 8 hours on the second day, staying up all night on the third day, and sleeping 8 hours on the fourth day. I think it would be enough to work 12 hours a day, but if I try to work exactly 12 hours, I lose motivation before the 12 hours are up. In that sense, it might be better to work 12 hours with the intention of working 16 hours.

When I was an early riser, I used to work about 16 hours, including study time, and I'm amazed that I was able to push myself so hard. Now I advocate a 12-hour workday without days off, but my experience of working 16-hour days for several years is what prompted me to advocate the 12-hour workday.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, you need to work harder than others. By not only working hard but also being creative, you can achieve a big difference in results in the same amount of time. I believe that accumulating the information you want to share, whether it's on social media or a blog, is accumulating assets. Whether that content generates revenue or not, as long as there is growth in it, you can expect it to become a valuable album.

Improvement is ultimately about progress, but sometimes you come up with an idea that shows a different dimension of growth, from progress to evolution.

As for the moment I evolved, it was the moment I realized that there is a trick to everything. When you are in business, you sometimes need to differentiate yourself from your competitors, that is, maintain a strength that is different from other companies. At such times, just coming up with a simple trick, like bending one finger, can give you an overwhelming advantage.

For example, in music, just curling your tongue downward when singing can make singing overwhelmingly easier. When singing, if there are many people who don't know the trick of rolling your tongue, it can be an overwhelming advantage as long as you don't reveal that trick.

Singing with a rolled tongue is just one example, but this simple technique can make a lot of people sing.

If you don't verbalize what you can do somehow, make it explicit knowledge and tell someone, it will become tacit knowledge and become a strength that differentiates you from your rivals. One of the reasons for turning tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge is to make it reproducible. By writing down your techniques in words, you will no longer be affected by your own condition.

Blogging allows me to grow by putting my knowledge into shape. At the same time as I can grow, another benefit of writing is that the articles I write pile up, so they become assets themselves. Even when I write articles similar to previous articles, such as rewrite articles, I realize that I have more topics to talk about. This means that an article I write once will not be a one-off.
