Hello. This is Tenpu from Seito Juku. The theme this time is "Think about a person who has had a positive influence on your life."
I have been influenced by many people, but I have never had a specific mentor or coach. Whenever I do something, I first learn the basics from books, and then through trial and error I create my own application of it.
Sometimes things don't go well in the trial and error process. If you have a teacher, they should be able to give you hints to help you find the answer right away. However, I have come this far without any hints.
However, it's not correct to say that I didn't get any hints. I have an intuition-like sense that tells me that if I go over here I'll find something, (after a quick look) this might be an important point, so I'll look into it more closely.
Therefore, I am not good at problems that require me to write down the answer someone told me, but I think I am better suited to setting problems about certain subjects and digging deep into them in my own way.
However, I don't reject the idea of mentors or coaches. Of course, there have been times when I have learned something from someone, and I'm sure there have been times when my values have been turned upside down. I believe that the role of a mentor or coach is to provide guidance in that way.
When I think of people who influenced me, I think of the teachers who taught me at school and great people who were active long ago. There are many different kinds of people in the world. There are many different ways of thinking, and it is difficult to say which is correct.
So I think it's amazing that people have consistent values and beliefs and can teach them in a way that is easy to understand and impressive. Isn't it true that wise people learn from fools, and fools don't learn from wise people?
Events in the world can be summarized very simply. To do this, I think it is best to encounter many things and look for common characteristics.
If you are the parent of a young girl, you may want your daughter to marry someone who has a good eye for things. When choosing a school, friends, or a company, the most important thing is to have someone who understands the value of those things.
People who understand the value of such things will never make mistakes when choosing a partner or a job. Understanding the value of things means having the ability to make judgments.
A leader is a leader because he or she makes decisions. One of the most important qualities for a leader is to hone the value of things. Human connections are the real treasure. People who understand the value of such things also understand the value of people, and can be said to be people who make a fortune through connections called personal connections.
I have also learned a lot from such leaders through books. Don't just study, take action. That's important advice. I want to be proactive and be influenced by many people, and to influence many people. Bye.
