Hello. This is Nada from Seito Medical School. I read about a quarter of the archeology book today. When I think of archeology, I have the image of excavating gold and silver treasures or works of art from ruins such as pyramids. The excavation target is not only important for jewelry, but also for human bones. Human bones contain a lot of information, and we can analyze a lot of things, including the cause of death and the cultural attitudes toward the dead at the time. Of course, since I live in Japan, there are things that I can't even imagine in other countries. Is sacrifice one of them? By applying sheep's blood to one's body, one is asking the sheep to sacrifice oneself in one's place. If I were an archaeologist, I might take a step back. However, it's amazing to be able to travel around different countries and do work that I love. It seems that it requires more delicacy than just sitting and digging in the soil as we imagine. There are still about 200 pages left in this book, so I'll report back soon after I finish reading it.
