There are things happening that we don't know about. But even when we peer into other people's heads and see what others see, we can't say for sure if it really exists. In this blog, Seito Medical School, we would like to talk about medical knowledge, as indicated by the title of the blog, ``medical school.'' The ultimate question remaining in quantum mechanics! ? Are ideas from various disciplines being reused? ?

This is the story behind the creation of quantum mechanics, but I noticed something while reading this book. There is a scene at the beginning of the book where the story is about ``Schrödinger's cat.''


Schrödinger's cat refers to the state of particles in which we do not know what state they are in until they are observed, similar to the state in which we do not know whether a cat in a poison gas chamber is alive or dead until the lid is opened. .


The device in the poison gas chamber generates poisonous gas under certain conditions, but you cannot tell whether poisonous gas has been generated until you open the lid and see if the cat is alive or dead.


Opening the lid means checking the cat and the particles, and it is determined whether the cat is alive or not when the lid is opened. It is called Schrödinger's cat because it is likened to a cat in a poison gas chamber because we do not know what state the particles are in until we observe them.
